Body & SOUL was brought to life in 1996 by François K. and John Davis, it started as the Sunday afternoon party that took place at Club Vinyl in Manhattan’s Tribeca area.
It soon became one of New York City’s most revered weekly parties. The three DJs, Danny Krivit, Joaquin ‘Joe’ Claussell and François K. delivered a unique soulful mix of organic and spiritual dance music grooves, and became standard-bearers for New York house music.
On any given Sunday at Body&SOUL, people from all walks of life, all ages, all races, raised their hands in the air and celebrated the unifying force that brought them back week after week: the music.
After Club Vinyl closed in 2002, they party didn’t stop it just became global. Body & SOUL has performed around the U.S., Europe, Asia, and South America.
What once started on a Sunday afternoon 30 years ago has become legacy, a party that bridges generational gaps and transcends decades.
