House Music History & Community Gathering
Join an afternoon dedicated to preserving, celebrating, and sharing the rich history of house music culture in the New York and New Jersey metropolitan area.
This special event brings together legendary figures from some of the region's most iconic clubs, parties, and nightlife institutions for a conversation about the music, spaces, and communities that helped shape dance culture for generations.
Featured panelists include Joey Llanos, Freddy Sanon, John Davis, and Don Welch, with Hippie Torrales serving as host. Together, they will reflect on the impact and legacy of influential nightlife destinations and events including Paradise Garage, Shelter, Body & Soul, Zanzibar, The Underground Network, and other celebrated pillars of house music culture.
Following the discussion, guests are invited to continue the experience outdoors as Duce Martinez and Martin Gee host a special Library Event featuring guest DJ performances from members of the panel.
