FLASHBACK - My days mananging The Original Sound Factory

#Flashback – Sound Factory Vibes πŸŽΆπŸ’Έ

Here’s a rare behind-the-scenes moment from my days running one of the most legendary house clubs in history—Sound Factory.

Big shoutout to my co-worker Regla, who caught me mid-count in this iconic shot. Yep… that’s me, surrounded by stacks of cash, X-ing and Z-ing registers, balancing drawers, handling payouts, and counting close to $60,000 at 5 a.m. every Saturday night/Sunday morning.

If you’ve ever tried counting anything after 4 a.m., you know it’s basically a sleep-inducing sport. Maybe that’s why they say counting sheep helps you fall asleep… because the process alone can knock you out. But in the club game, sleepiness wasn’t an option.

Every single stack of $1s, $5s, $10s, $20s, $50s, and $100s had to be perfectly aligned and counted. And if your tired brain slipped up? You started all over again.

And don’t even get me started on when your totals didn’t match the registers—then it was back to square one, stack by stack, double-checking every bill. Maybe that’s why they call it accounting—or maybe just to keep DJs from thinking it’s all fun and games! 🀣

Running Sound Factory wasn’t just about the numbers—it was about being part of a movement. Every note of house music, every crowd that lost themselves on the dance floor, every late-night laugh behind the bar—it was a history-making experience I’m proud to have been a part of.

Let this little #Flashback inspire you: whether you’re counting bills, beats, or memories, the magic happens when passion meets perseverance.

Have a BLESSED Day!

Hello, my beautiful house music family. πŸ’›

Thank you again for letting me be a small part of your day.

Sending you all love, light, good energy, and a little extra luck today and always.

Remember this: yesterday is a canceled check, tomorrow is an IOU… all we truly have is today.

So spend it wisely, spend it lovingly, and spend it being present in the moments that matter.

Life is really built one moment at a time.

When you choose to focus on the good instead of the bad, when you focus on gratitude instead of what’s missing, those moments start to change. And every good moment matters.

Minutes are collections of moments.
Hours are collections of minutes.
Days are collections of hours.
Weeks are collections of days.

So if you can find peace, joy, connection, and gratitude in as many moments as possible, that energy grows.

Good moments become good days. Good days become good weeks. Good weeks become beautiful months, beautiful years, and eventually… a beautiful life.

Keep dancing through life, keep spreading love, and keep lifting each other up. That’s what this community is all about. 🎢✨

This is E-man, your number one fan, saying peace, love, and house music forever. 🀍

FRANKIE KNUCKLES at The Original Sound Factory

Me, Frankie Knuckles and M Patterson

The moments that seem unimportant today often become the memories you treasure most tomorrow. That’s why it’s so important to take the picture, save the moment, and hold onto the people who made life special.

I was managing the club back when Frankie Knuckles became the resident DJ at Sound Factory after Junior Vasquez left, you might have expected a legend to carry himself differently — but Frankie was one of the kindest people you could ever meet.

Just as we were about to take a photo together in the DJ booth, someone unexpectedly jumped into the frame. We laughed so hard that the picture captured us mid-laughter instead of posing.

Looking back, those are the moments that matter most — the unplanned ones, the genuine ones. One of life’s greatest privileges is the friendships you build with truly talented people along the way.

This is E-MAN
your number one fan..

πŸ™πŸ½ Thank you for letting me be a little part of your day.

Peace
